About the roleThe Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is launching brand new, purpose-built wards at Noarlunga Hospital (NH) for General Medicine and Mental Health, with the addition of the Division of Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care (RAP) occupying an existing ward as a part of the NH Uplift. This is a unique opportunity to join the NH Pharmacy team whilst also contributing to the wider SALHN Pharmacy Department. This coincides with a brand new NH Pharmacy dispensary and broader workforce expansion to support the NH Uplift.Pharmacy Assistant (AHA1)Join our Pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the safe and efficient dispensing and distribution of medications for both inpatients and outpatients. You will also assist with cashier and reception duties, and may have the opportunity to contribute to the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. This role offers structured training and career progression, with the chance to advance to Allied Health Assistant Level 2 upon completion of a Certificate III or after six months of continuous employment, providing a supportive environment to develop your skills and grow your career.Senior Pharmacy Assistant (AHA2)As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of a comprehensive pharmacy service. You will assist with dispensing and distributing medications, packaging pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, and helping organise daily workloads. You will also contribute to the preparation and ordering of pharmaceuticals and support the technical training of staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the pharmacy team.About YouYou are a motivated and reliable with a strong commitment to patient care, accuracy, and teamwork. You are eager to develop your skills under supervision and contribute to the smooth running of the pharmacy service. Refer to the relevant Role Description for qualification requirements.
  • Strong technical, manual, and data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, PBS, dispensing methods, and ethical practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and public relations skills across diverse backgrounds.
