This is a full-time hybrid role (Minimum 38hours per week) located in Sydney, NSW for a Project Engineer at DARA Contractors. As a Project Engineer in a piling company operating in Australia, specializing in geotechnical engineering, your responsibilities would encompass a wide range of tasks. Below is a comprehensive list:Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans considering geotechnical data, site conditions, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. This includes scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.Site Investigation and Assessment: Oversee geotechnical investigations to gather crucial data about soil conditions, groundwater levels, and other relevant factors. Analyze findings to determine appropriate piling techniques and designs.Design Coordination: Collaborate with geotechnical engineers and design teams to develop efficient and cost-effective piling solutions tailored to each project's requirements. Ensure compliance with Australian standards and regulations.Material Procurement and Logistics: Manage the procurement of piling materials and equipment, considering factors such as quality, cost, and availability. Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery to project sites.Construction Oversight: Supervise piling operations on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards. Address any technical challenges or deviations from the plan promptly.Quality Assurance and Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures throughout the piling process, including testing procedures and inspection protocols. Monitor performance to identify opportunities for improvement.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with piling activities and develop strategies to mitigate them. This includes addressing environmental concerns, safety hazards, and project-specific challenges.Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. Provide regular progress updates and address any concerns or inquiries promptly.Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of project activities, including drawings, reports, and correspondence. Strong Project Engineering, Planning skills
Experience in Piling and Geotechnical Engineering in Australia in Piling Contractoring companies
Experience working on large and complex projects inclduding infrastructure projects
Previous Experience as Site Engineer and Piling Estimator is a Plus
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multitask
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from Australian Universities or Assessed as equivalent qualification by Engineers Australia
