New permanent role for an experienced Physiotherapist/Senior Physiotherapist to join this regional health service. The location is based two hours from Canberra and four hours from Sydney. My last Senior Physiotherapist stayed with the service for three years! Open to level 2 clinicians looking to step up into leadership.Ideally you will be available to start in July or August. Permanent role or long term contract (6-12 months) available.You will be the clinical lead for the team of 5 Physiotherapists and an Allied Health Assistant. Providing publicly funded physiotherapy services in a hospital setting to inpatients, outpatients and community patients.In this role, you will:
  • Cover a Rural Generalist caseload across sub-acute ward in-patients (including rehabilitation, geriatrics and palliative care), acute ward, outpatients (paediatric to adult) and community patients in the area.
  • Paediatric experience preferred. The paeds caseload covers the equivalent of 1 day per week.
  • The roles involves a clinical caseload and approx. 2 hours per day of management responsibilities – this could include providing supervision, covering urgent referrals, caseload allocation, rostering, supervision, education.
  • You will provide supervision and support to 3 Physiotherapists, an allied health assistant and students.
  • Foster a positive flexible Physiotherapy team, facilitate education and quality improvement projects, represent Physio team in the MDT setting, monitor team workload and ensure adherence to output targets and KPIs.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role. It is busy and requires the successful candidate to be motivated, adaptable, flexible, positive, communicative. Develop your skill set across management, leadership, supervision, working under pressure and problem solving. The senior role is supported by Allied Health Team Leader and you will have access to regular supervision and professional development.Enjoy working across a varied caseload, building specialist clinical skills, leading the team to meet organisational targets and patients’ health needs and being a senior member of a large Allied health team (over 20 staff).The role is open to Senior Physiotherapists or experienced Physiotherapists who are looking to take a step up into leadership.
