  • Provide high-level strategic advice to the Director People Management, Senior Management and workplace leaders on strategic and operational matters relating to contemporary practice in health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Apply technical expertise and advanced experience across a diverse range of workplaces and activities to monitor the status of health, safety and wellbeing within the NFAEP and proactively manage risk.

Access theAs our Manager, Health Safety and Wellbeing, you will:
  • Implement the DPI's contemporary health safety and wellbeing management strategy and initiatives, aimed at building the compliance, capability and agility of the NFAEP workforce.
Specifically, in relation to the following key WHS areas:
o Health and Safety Management System
o Health and wellbeing including mental health
o WorkCover premiums
o Injury management
o WHS compliance
o Domestic and Family Violence
o Employee Assistance Services
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure that the health, safety and wellbeing program is implemented within all business areas to support agency activities and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide responsive superior service.
  • Build and support the capability of the NFAEP's Workplace Health and Safety networks and management teams to strengthen the department's assurance in Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Assist the Director, Program Support Services in leading and coaching the NFAEP Health Safety and Wellbeing team and Human Resources teams by strengthen knowledge and skills and aligning with key departmental, Human
Resources and Health Safety and Wellbeing priorities.
  • Lead the development and oversight of governance, reporting, and assurance frameworks to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Ensure health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures are contemporary, compliant with legislation, and aligned with NFAEP strategic objectives.
  • Utilise data and analytics to identify trends, inform strategic decision-making and proactively manage emerging risks. Champion a positive safety culture by leading change initiatives and embedding health, safety and wellbeing values across all levels of the NFAEP.
  • Provide expert leadership in response to critical incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution and post-incident review.
