Be the champion for energy, water, and waste improvements, shaping the future of sustainable food processing in a global organization.What you’ll be doing.

Lead the environmental strategy and initiatives for the Ballarat Site, aligning with McCain’s regional and global sustainability goals.
Drive onsite execution of environmental improvement projects, focusing on energy, water, waste, and carbon emissions.
Manage environmental contracts, including waste management and by-product handling.
Coach and support plant teams in best practices for environmental stewardship and compliance.
Oversee and maintain the site’s Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, licences, and permits, acting as the main point of contact for authorities.
Lead environmental risk management processes, including incident investigations and implementation of preventative measures.
Share technical advice and best practices with other McCain food processing plants across ANZ.

What you’ll need to be successful.

Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
3+ years’ experience in environmental management, ideally in manufacturing
Strong knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and environmental regulations
Proven ability to lead or coach teams on sustainability initiatives
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Experience with risk management, compliance, and contract oversight
