We are seeking a passionate data professional to take on a pivotal role within our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to act as the architect of our clients' data landscapes, where you will design, develop, and maintain the efficient, scalable data models that form the backbone of their data architecture and business intelligence initiatives. You will work directly with key stakeholders, translating complex business needs into elegant data solutions and making a tangible impact on major projects.As a Senior Data Modeller, your primary responsibility will be to analyse business requirements and translate them into robust logical and physical data models. Your day-to-day will involve designing and optimising database structures, including tables, views, and relationships, to ensure maximum performance and scalability. You will be a champion for data quality and integrity, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams to capture precise data requirements and ensure solutions are perfectly aligned with business goals. A key part of your role will involve developing and maintaining comprehensive data dictionaries and metadata documentation, contributing to data governance frameworks, and providing expert guidance to development teams on data modelling best practices while staying current with emerging industry trends.QualificationsCore Data Modelling: A minimum of 4 years of direct experience in data modelling, with a strong focus on designing and developing dimensional data marts using the Kimball methodology.Modern Data Stack: Proven proficiency in a cloud environment with hands-on expertise in SQL, Databricks, and dbt (data build tool).Modelling Tools: Expertise using industry-standard data modelling software such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar tools.Analytics Support: Demonstrated experience creating data models specifically to support business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI) and advanced analyticsStakeholder Engagement: Excellent consulting skills with a proven ability to engage clients, understand business challenges, and manage stakeholder expectations. * Communication: Highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to run workshops and articulate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and thrive in a 'Shared Services' environment.
  • Data Governance: A strong understanding of core data management principles, including metadata management and data governance best practices.
  • Healthcare Experience: Experience within the healthcare industry is highly desirable, including familiarity with its data quality frameworks and validation techniques.
