The program is directed toward children from Kindergarten to Year 2 who display disruptive behaviour and emerging conduct disorder, and their parents and carers. The aim of the program is to build resilience, prevent mental illness and behavioural disorders in later life, and improve educational outcomes.This position, as part of the multi-disciplinary team, is responsible for the delivery of a range of services to the children and families participating in Got It!. This includes the development of behaviour/social skills group for children and the delivery of parenting programs to their parents/carers. The clinician will liaise and work closely with educational staff and will be expected to provide practical support, education, and direction to classroom teachers involved in Got It!. Development of consultation practices such as community education, and community development are key features of this position. - Tertiary qualification in a relevant clinical discipline (Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology). Registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership to relevant professional body where required.
- High level of interpersonal skills and commitment to working closely with other members of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Clinical skills and experience in the assessment of treatment of children and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, using evidence-based approaches.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
