Our successes have been driven by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated professionals who have found the scope and opportunity to grow with us.Due to our success and growth, an opportunity has arisen for qualified and experienced Land Management Technician to join our Newcastle team and further develop their career.The RoleIn this role you will be undertaking various vegetation management and rehabilitation activities for private industry and government authorities as a member of a professional team.Tasks that are part of the role include bush regeneration, habitat restoration, native tree planting, brush cutting, weed control, chemical spraying, vegetation clearing for bushfire management and more.About youIdeally you will bring:

At least 2 years’ bush regeneration experience including herbicide application (high volume and backpack), brush cutting, and manual control techniques.
A general knowledge of vegetation communities including good local native plant and weed species identification.
Completed or enrolled in Certificate in Conservation & Land Management or related qualification relevant to bushland management.
Practical knowledge of work health and safety policies and procedures, risk management practice and principles.
Ability to operate vehicles and field equipment.
Physical fitness, a solid work ethic, self-motivation and ability to function in a team environment.
A current NSW driver's license.
White Card (construction induction).
ACDC/ChemCert qualifications.
Available for a minimum of 3 days per week, (Mon - Fri).
Available to occasionally work away from home for up to 5 days at a time.
Strong attention to detail and company policies, codes and values.

Applicants will be highly regarded if they have:

First Aid.
Chainsaw qualifications.
Strong knowledge and identification of weeds and weed control methods.

Successful applicants must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical (including drug screen testing).
