The position regularly reports to the Department Head of Occupational Therapy regarding service activity and performance, advice regarding stock management and repairs, maintenance and renewals, as well as development opportunities of the service.The successful incumbent will deliver an efficient, cost effective, and timely equipment service to the NBMLHD community to support safety within patient's homes and to facilitate safe discharges from hospital. The role involves the operational management of the Short-Term Equipment Service and acts as an advisory role to the Short-Term Equipment Service Manager regarding equipment needs and budgeting.As part of the assessments, the successful candidate will be requested to complete a Pre-Employment Functional Capacity Assessment through an accredited provider.   • Demonstrated experience in customer service with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computers including Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage safety, quality and Work Health and Safety within a workplace.
  • Current Driver's License (minimum P2) and willingness to use for driving across the LHD as required.
  • Experience in managing stock, warehousing and/or equipment management.
