
Research Contact Centre Officer

Working in a small team and with full training provided, you’ll be the first point of contact for schools across Australia, helping to engage key stakeholders for a major research program within the secondary education sector. This is not a sales role and you’ll be guiding conversations professionally and respectfully, ensuring you connect with the right people and support their participation in the project.What you’ll be doing:
- Making outbound calls to schools to recruit participants and identify key contacts
- Steering conversations confidently to ensure you reach the right stakeholder (e.g. principals, deputies, program leads)
- Answering inbound calls and responding to survey-related enquiries
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping in Excel and internal systems
- Previous experience in a call centre, phone-based customer service, or research interviewing role
- A warm, clear, and professional phone manner
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- High attention to detail and reliable administrative follow-through
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- A calm, solutions-focused approach with a humble, service-driven attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
