- Weekly Medical Oncology Journal Club.
- Weekly Friday Oncology Grand Rounds.
- Weekly Medical Oncology Research meetings (Trials).
- Monthly Patient Clinical Care Review.
- There are 11 regular MDTs with the expectation to be present in those pertaining to their consultants.
- Dedicated one-hour weekly teaching by consultants as well as dedicated RACP research project meetings.
- Practice in accordance with Calvary and relevant Government Health policies and procedures, the position description, Code of Conduct and industrial agreements.

- Use effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills appropriate to the intended audience and situation, ensuring professionalism and maintenance of confidentiality and use of appropriate discretion.
- Effective teamwork and ability to function within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining harmonious relations with hospital staff in a respectful and non-confrontational manner.
- Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Completion of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians written and clinical examinations and the requirements of PREP Basic Training or equivalent (completed or working towards)
- Clinical - Basic clinical experience as a medical officer. The Trainee is expected to pursue excellence in patient care and has overriding responsibility to serve the health care needs of the community served by the Department of Medical Oncology, predominantly focused on outpatient care.
- Interest and/or experience in research studies and teaching. Advanced Trainees will be required to coordinate and conduct some ongoing clinical trials.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
