Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with commercial, financial, tax, and other specialist advisors to deliver integrated, pragmatic solutions to clients.
  • Delivering acquisitions, disposals, and investments for a variety of clients across a range of different industries;
  • Providing technical advice on the Corporations Act and the FIRB regime;
  • Drafting and negotiating transaction documents and commercial contracts relating to Private M&A matters;
  • Act as a trusted adviser, providing clear, strategic guidance on complex legal and regulatory matters.
  • Contribute to team development through training, conference participation, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Required experience
  • Qualified Legal Counsel with ~10+ years PQE
  • Strong expertise across M&A, private equity and complex corporate transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage deal execution from end-to-end, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation
  • Experience working with private equity sponsors, founders, and large corporates across diverse sectors
  • Commercially minded with the ability to balance risk with business objectives
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
  • Experience mentoring or developing junior lawyers (highly regarded)
