The Land Assembly Specialist will undertake assessment, strategy, due diligence, and acquisition processes to acquire land for the Business Development & Strategy Division to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.This position is a permanent role.Your role will include:
- Participate in project establishment activities to understand project scope, schedule and budgets as they relate to land acquisition requirements.
- Undertake land options assessments, due diligence, detailed analysis of preferred options, develop project land strategy and acquisition pathway within project stages and participate in project status meetings.
- Coordinate meetings and engagement with government agencies, departments, land owners and internal stakeholders to meet project requirements/deliverables within project schedule.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to ascertain relevant information and approvals and communicate key information around land tenure and acquisition processes in simple and persuasive manner to project, stakeholders and interested parties.
- Facilitate planning approval and local planning amendments as required by Commercial and Business Development
- High level of understanding of Crown land processes, leases, licences and basic legal and government processes as they relate to land acquisition.
- Understanding of approvals associated with land assembly and town planning processes.
- Demonstrated experience delivering land access involving crown reserves, leases, and licences.
- Understanding of statutory approvals associated with land assembly including town planning requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships present to various audiences and adapt style accordingly.
