Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS) operate independently of Catholic Healthcare and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Older Australians are assessed for the care and services they truly need.What will your role look like?As a Regional Team Leader, you will lead and develop your team to ensure high quality aged care assessments. This role looks after NSW 4 region extending from the NSW Central Coast up to the Far North Coast.Day to day this includes:
  • Leading, developing and engaging team members to perform to standards required to meet team KPI’s
  • Fostering a positive team culture where employees are engaged and have a clear expectation of their role and responsibilities
  • Ensuring Aged Care Assessors work in accordance with Catholic Healthcare and Aged Care Assessment Services vision, mission, values, policies and procedures
  • Facilitating team meetings, regional strategic planning and employee development
  • Providing mentoring and support to Aged Care Assessors including opportunities for personal development and training across ACAS roles
  • Facilitating orientation program and training for new Aged Care Assessors
  • Providing mentoring and support to Aged Care Assessors including opportunities for personal development and training across ACAS roles
  • Maintaining professional practice required for the role which is demonstrated through reflective practice, self-learning and active participation in mandatory professional development opportunities
  • Working with the ACAS Manager to review the program budget as required
  • Facilitating annual Operational Planning sessions and contribution to the ACAS Strategic plan
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to promote a supportive and positive team culture
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
  • Experience managing a team or providing direct mentorship to staff
  • Experience with My Aged Care portal and the aged care and/or community service sector.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a predominantly mobile team whilst maintaining a team focus
  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service, both to internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning, organising and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local community aged care services both funded and non-funded service providers
