As a member of the Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA), MCC is dedicated to fostering a strong sense of belonging, hospitality, and academic excellence grounded in Christian values.We are seeking a faith-filled, passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our Secondary team from Term 4, 2025, in a full-time, permanent role. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative, student-focused environment and is committed to helping young people grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically.The ideal candidate will design and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons, support diverse learning needs through inclusive practices, and use data-driven strategies to enhance student outcomes. Additionally, they will foster a positive and collaborative classroom environment and actively contribute to the broader life of the College, including extra-curricular activities.As an English Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English lessons (Years 7–12) in compliance with the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) requirements.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- Use formative and summative assessment data to inform your teaching and improve student outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Learning Support on Curriculum Adjustment Plans (CAPs) and Individual Learning Profiles (ILPs).
- Meet the educational standards set by the Department of Education Western Australia and adhere to the National Professional Standards for Teachers (aitsl.edu.au).
- Work collaboratively with the Pastoral Care team to provide emotional, spiritual, and behavioural support to students.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management and employ contemporary teaching practices.
- Actively contribute to the broader life of the College, including participation in school events and extra-curricular activities.
- Serve as a role model of Christian character and professional conduct.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
- Accept and align with the Association’s Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of belief, and educational objectives.
- Provide a brief overview of prior experience highlighting relevant qualifications, skills and accomplishments that align with the responsibilities of the role.
- Ability to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) Courses.
