A nationally recognised commercial construction leader with a long-standing history are now looking to add an experienced Associate level Quantity Surveyor / cost planner to the business, working across tenders up to $1bn.You will be working closely with the National cost planning team and joining a well established pre-construction team in Vic.Your duties will include:

Preparation of initial estimating assessment of tenders
Perform trade break ups of documentation, appropriate trade subcontractor selection lists, and liaise with subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme
Final preparation and presentation of rated and coded Bill of Quantities and/or cost plan for internal review and issuing appropriate information to stakeholders
Comparison and analysis of subcontractor pricing
Regular meetings with subcontractors throughout the tender period to ensure the most competitive pricing and accurate bids

Required experience;

Demonstrated analytical abilities
Proven experience cost planning / QS or Estimating on commercial, residential, healthcare, pharma new build jobs from $100m+
Proactive problem solver but also able to ask for help where needed
Ambition to commit long term to the business and assist in their long term growth
Excellent time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
