As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Officer in the Database System group, you’ll contribute to building intelligent, scalable, and robust data infrastructures that redefine how AI and data systems interact.This is not just theoretical work - your research will result in deployable system prototypes, cutting-edge algorithms, and publications in top-tier venues. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment that values innovation, reproducibility, and real-world impact.Key responsibilities include:Conducting original research in AI-enhanced data systems.Developing intelligent storage, indexing, and query optimisation techniques.Translating research into deployable prototypes and open-source tools.Publishing in leading conferences such as ACM SIGMOD and PVLDB.Teaching (20%) and supervising research students.Engaging with industry and academic collaborators.This is a research focused position.
