We bring power, heat and cooling to customers and communities wherever they need it.We are hiring immediately for a Head of Renewable Project Delivery - a role that will help us to power progress for our customers.Location: Melbourne/Perth/Brisbane/SydneyReporting to: Managing Director, APACJob description:Position SummaryEnsure that complex projects are planned, executed, and finalised successfully according to the approved project deadlines and in compliance with internal and external regulations/polices requirement.Projects will cover the complex rental projects and renewable energy projects including Wind, Solar, and BESS’s.Descriptions:This role is critical leadership role reporting into the Managing Director. The incumbent will lead the successful implementation of the projects from once the contract is signed through to implementation and hand over to operations. Key to leading the Project Management function will be an extensive understanding of delivering complex projects from the client side including consideration of regulatory, legal, community, government, stakeholder requirements, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract negotiation and resourcing.Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in setting QHSE behaviours and develop a strong safety culture
  • Direct and manage project delivery of projects starting from award of contract up to operations.
  • Act as a single point of contact for the life of the project and continually manage project expectations by effectively timely and clearly communicate project expectations to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Define and develop project implementation scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with cross functional teams to ensure meticulous adherence to project timeline, budgets and stringent quality benchmark.
  • Establish and manage contracts for the delivery of the project and monitor contractor performance based on best-in-class project control methods
  • Proactively manage changes in project implementation scope, identify potential project issues and devise mitigation or contingency plans in coordination with the relevant departments.
  • Effectively handover project upon completion and ensure all relevant project information are available & communicated to Operations
  • Conduct project post report and create recommendation in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Effectively manage and coach of project managers to take positive actions and accountability for their assigned task.

What we’re looking for
  • A rich and proven background in major projects program and project management, boasting comprehensive expertise across all facts of delivery methodology, implementation, project controls and meticulous reporting and evaluation processes aimed at consistency delivering high quality project outcomes
  • Demonstrate leadership in major projects or portfolio management is crucial, highlighting an ability to navigate complexities, inspire and lead terms to success. The role calls for someone with extensive leadership experience and a demonstrated track record of guiding high-performance teams towards achieving remarkable results.
  • Superior communication skills and exceptional stakeholder relations management skills are necessary. An individual has a natural ability to engage effectively, exude high energy, maintain a positive and inspiring demeanour, and remain dedicated to the achievement of agreed project outcomes. Solid experiences in delivering impactful presentation and facilitating productive consultations is highly valued
  • Degree and above in Project Management, or Engineering or Environmental Science, business administration or a related field
  • Proven experience in renewable energy project development including solar, BESS, wind and other relevant technologies.
  • Ability to create PPAs, performing financial modelling, and conduct due diligence for new projects
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes and environmental considerations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
