- Assist in the rostering of staff and controlling manning levels regarding occupancy, service quality and, cost.
- Ordering guest supplies, cleaning supplies, printing and, stationary.
- Conduct daily operational briefings effectively
- Assist in ensuring rooms are turned around to meet guest needs
- Allocate daily duties to Housekeeping staff, monitor their performance, cleanliness standards, presentation of guest rooms and, assist them in their duties as required.
- Conduct training courses for new associates and refresher courses for existing associates
- Supervise associates within the department, ensuring that the correct standards and procedures are maintained
- Assist in the development of staff and the effectiveness of all Housekeeping associates through appropriate training, coaching and/or mentoring
- Ensuring the departments operational budget is strictly adhered to and all costs are strictly controlled
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Refined verbal and written communication skills.
- 2-3 years within Hotel Housekeeping
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Service-oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communicator and, effective in providing exceptional customer service
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and, administrative skills
