Additionally, you will be committed to achieving the goals embedded in theAbout the roleThe Executive Officer will provide specialist high-level administrative and executive support and knowledge to the Director, Future Students and Engagement and department leaders, developing and monitoring the directorates budget and reporting requirements.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Ability to enjoy managing stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards work, with the capacity to embrace change in response to new initiatives, strategic directions, or external requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and contribute to a cohesive team.
  • Operational, financial and administrative experience within a medium office environment, ensuring effective day-to-day operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on routine matters within established procedures and guidelines, ensuring tasks are completed within set deadlines.
  • Demonstrated advanced word processing skills, along with proficiency in other relevant software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, tact, and maintain strict confidentiality in all matters at an executive level.
  • Completion of a Diploma-level qualification; or a Certificate IV with relevant work experience; or a post-trades certificate with extensive relevant experience and on-the-job training; or a Certificate III with extensive relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
About the Faculty/GroupThe Future Students and Engagement Department at UNE oversees all external-facing functions with a comprehensive, integrated strategy. This includes marketing, advancement, alumni office, social media, and corporate communications and events. The department focuses on engaging with industry partners, alumni, philanthropic supporters, governments and communities, while also attracting and connecting with prospective students.
