What’s the role?Are you a compliance leader with deep AML/CTF knowledge and a passion for regulatory excellence in the gaming sector? We're seeking a high-performing Lead Compliance Officer - Gaming to oversee our compliance function and act as the Designated AML Compliance Officer at a Casino Resort.In this critical role, you'll partner with senior leaders, the Gaming Compliance Committee, and regulators to ensure our operations are aligned with the Casino Operator's Agreement and all applicable legislation. You'll lead a skilled team, manage financial crime obligations, and help embed a strong culture of compliance, integrity, and harm minimisation.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the AML/CTF Program, including reporting (SMRs, IFTIs), audits, risk assessments, and training
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls and procedures across gaming, alcohol, tobacco, and responsible service obligations
  • Act as a key decision-maker in financial crime matters, including ECDD, customer exits, and reporting
  • Lead incident management and provide regular reporting to the Board and Gaming Compliance Committee
  • Manage a team of compliance professionals and deliver mandatory training across the business
  • Foster strong relationships with regulators, frontline staff, and internal stakeholders
Skills & Experience required:
  • 5+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management (preferably in gaming, financial services, or highly regulated sectors)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Compliance, Risk Management, or related disciplines
  • In-depth knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and other relevant legislation (Gaming Control Act, Liquor Act, etc.)
  • Experience managing a team and working with boards, regulators, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Certifications in AML, Risk, or Compliance are highly regarded
