Visit for more information.What you'll be doingPracticing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.The Registered Nurse will provide case management of patients with poly-substance use dependence that access opiate agonist treatment (OAT).The RN will deliver high quality person-centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the MoH and MNCLHD and utilising the principles of Trauma Informed Care.All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine (except for the Janssen COVID-19 vaccine which is approved by the TGA as a single dose primary course). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. A NSW Health agency may require further information about the medical contraindication (including but not limited to an Immunisation Medical Exemption form – IM011 form).​Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.   • Current Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in assessment and management of substance use disorders and management of withdrawal states
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary opioid substitution treatments and regulation related to opioid treatment programs.
  • Understanding of management of clients with complex needs in the community setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate patient care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome based care.
  • Current NSW driver's licence and ability and willingness to travel for work purpose.
