- Build strong merchant relationships and navigate their organizations to align the right external and internal stakeholders
- Provide strategic and consultative advice to help influence and fulfill the global payments strategy of digital and retail companies
- Collaborate cross-functionally to communicate merchant needs and feedback, impacting Adyen's product innovation and development, and delivering merchant projects
- Own and grow a portfolio of key merchants, meeting our team's strategic and financial goals
- Serve as a thought leader and extensive source of knowledge for your colleagues in the account management team and other company departments
- Understand the evolving needs of the merchant and the market and serve as a feedback loop for Adyen's product team to help identify improvements and developments for continued innovation.
- Work closely with the other Adyen offices around the globe, with Technical and Sales teams to realize individual and thought-through integrations for merchants based on their needs;
- Role as an individual contributor and requires to be in office at least 3 times a week.
- A born networker with high energy, self-starter with a proven commercial and organizational strength, entrepreneurial track record and strong negotiation skills;
- A strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and the ability to lead and manage time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial environment with little supervision;
- Enjoy engaging others and developing strong working relationships at all levels of management
- Passionate about leading strategic payments conversations, presenting business reviews, and coordinating high level technical discussions
- Skilled in leveraging your business acumen and analytical abilities to strategically assess and help reach client goals
- A natural communicator and team player with technical interest, knowledge and understanding;
- You have 5 to 7 years of experience in a client facing or product management role, ideally B2B dealing with complex enterprise software, technical infrastructure or financial services;
- Fluent in English, an additional language is a plus.
- Willingness to travel.
