Randstad Launceston is seeking experienced Leading Hand Carpenter/Supervisors to join our team on an upcoming exciting major project on the North West Coast.If you are wanting to get rewarded due to your experience and ability to manage a team and execute projects, If you have a positive attitude and a proactive approach that requires a hands on leader to mentor, manage and deliver quality work, Then we want to speak to you.SKILLS REQUIRED:

Experience working on Major Projects
Keen eye for detail and have an ability to produce high quality work
Ability to push a team and adhere to site and company procedures
Ability to supervise and coordinate effectively
Direction and management of carpenters, labourers and other trades
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and prioritise tasks
Interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships with trades, management and contractors
Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to build strong rapport with trades,Labourers, management and site supervisors
Good computer literacy

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

5 + years experience as a licensed carpenter
Hands on approach to all aspects of carpentry
Experience in leading a small team of carpenters and labourers
Experience in major projects advantageous
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills - ability to build relationships with team and site supervisors
Ability to drive projects to meet deadlines on time
Proven experience of effectively manage a team, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of relationships
Good understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements, has proven experience of effectively controlling site safety
Good communicator with the ability to deal with issues if they occur
White Card
Drivers license

Dogging/Rigging
