This Australian business is a leading manufacturer of innovative window covering solutions for residential and commercial spaces. With a strong commitment to quality, style, and innovation, they offer a wide range of products that enhance the aesthetics and functionality of any interior or external space.The Business Development Manager’s main portfolio includes a selection of curtain hardware, curtain tracking systems and components to retail and commercial markets! Also selling custom made window coverings as a secondary add on to your portfolio of customers around Melbourne and Victorian travel 1 week every 6 – 8 weeks.The main duty will be to manage the Victorian territory whilst being responsible for the planning and execution of the sales strategy, targeting accounts within the retail or commercial industry of window coverings i.e.: home retailers, interior designers, architects, specifiers, hotels, medical facilities, retirement villages. You will be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions that exceed their expectations.Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Identify and engage with potential clients in the retail and commercial sectors
  • Conduct in-depth consultations to understand client requirements while recommending suitable window covering solutions
  • Negotiate and present sales presentations, product demonstrations, and prepare proposals
  • Maintain accurate sales records and report on sales activities and market activity
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge to provide appropriate advice
  • Achieve sales targets and performance KPI’s while ensuring high level customer service
Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven business development and account manager from the manufacturing industry
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills who is self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Consult and engage at all levels of the business to build and develop appropriate solutions
  • Negotiate, prepare, and present sales plans, strategies, and forecasting
  • Create, meet, and exceed sales targets, with an emphasis on business growth
