The Facilities Upgrade team works in collaboration and partnership with portfolios across the WA Police Force, to support, progress and deliver Capital Works, Minor Works and Refurbishment upgrades to the agency’s Built Form facilities.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Senior Project Leader will support the development, planning and delivery of the agency’s Facilities Upgrade programs, with consideration of sustainable initiatives within Metropolitan and Regional/Portfolio.The role coordinates, administers and is accountable for, the continued progress and completion of building works to meet the specified requirements of the WA Police Force.THE ROLEAsset Projects – Facilities Upgrade Senior Project Leaders require an established and demonstrated background, knowledge and experience not only in project administration, also in project delivery within the Building Design, Construction and Asset Management Built Form industry.The role strongly relies on the direction and guidance of sound and effective field/site works delivery, with demonstrated understanding and/or association of Architectural, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and Hydraulic) and Building Construction Industry knowledge, applications and implementation.It also includes analysing and providing advice on concepts, alternatives and proposals, ensuring that high-quality strategies, scopes and planning are prepared and applied, considerate of strategic objectives, government policy and operational impacts.In addition, the Senior Project Leader is responsible for identifying where risks and/or issues may arise and supports actions to mitigate these, prior to finalisation of any project submission and implementation.The Senior Project Leader role also involves effective project budget cost estimation, evaluation, monitoring and reporting.The successful applicant will be experienced in the above requirements and requires to demonstrate their suitability and skills methodology against the Position Description Form. We encourage you to read the role statement and if you are unsure if this role is for you, please make contact for further information.Senior Project Leaders are required to travel throughout Western Australia via applicable modes of transport, with occasional overnight stays.This position is offered as a twenty-four (24) month contract/secondment opportunity with the possibility of extension/permanency. This position is temporarily vacant whilst the substantive occupant is engaged in other duties.POSITION OBJECTIVEThis position is responsible for leading and coordinating office and operational accommodation projects, including financial management.APPLICATION PROCESSPlease ensure you complete, sign and scan the Integrity Check Consent Form (refer attached) and submit it along with your application (the Integrity Check Consent Form is not required for current WA Police Force employees).Applicants are not required to address the work related requirements at this stage of the selection process.Applicants are required to submit a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV). These particular Essential Work Related Requirements are an integral requirement and will hold considerable weighting when determining whether an applicant is competitive.The CV must also include the names and contact details of two (2) referees who can comment on the applicant’s ability to satisfy all of the Essential Work Related Requirements.
