Join our team at Australia’s only ocean-grown barramundi farm and play a vital role in our Nursery operations! Based at the Broome Aquaculture Park.This will be a permanent, full-time role working a 5/2 roster over 7 days.Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of daily tasks in the Barramundi Nursery, including preparing feeds and ensuring the fish are fed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor fish health through routine checks, using microscopy and visual observation to identify, diagnose, and resolve health issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular water quality sampling and testing using advanced tools to maintain optimal conditions for the fish.
  • Follow strict biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks, including disinfecting and cleaning nursery tanks and equipment.
  • Oversee the overall health and well-being of the fish, ensuring any potential issues are escalated and addressed quickly.
Role requirements:
  • Hands-on experience in aquaculture or nursery/hatchery operations.
  • Tertiary qualifications in aquaculture, marine science, or marine biology (highly desirable).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong self-management, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, alcohol, and drug screening.
  • Full-time working rights in Australia.
