For more information, please click here .For assistance with applying through the NSW Health Career Portal please .What you will bring to the role * Current NSW Security Industries License 1A, in accordance with the Security Industry Act, 1997; nationally recognised current First Aid Certificate or Statement of Attainment from a Registered Training Organisation.
- Experience in the security industry as Security Officer is desirable.
- Demonstrated skills to manage aggressive incidents, challenging behaviours and respond to duress situations
- Provide general assistance, including moving equipment and patients (in line with WHS principles), to ensure smooth running of the facility
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and take directions from clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of staff, as well as patients/clients and members of the public. Sound understanding of the application of security techniques including conflict resolution skills, de-escalation and restraint practices.
- Participation in a 7 day rotating roster that includes weekends, public and school holidays, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
