Work with us to provide 4-year-old health and development checks in Early Education settings.Brighter Beginnings is a collaboration between NSW Health and NSW Department of Education to provide health and development screening and assessment to preschool children in early education and childcare centres in western Sydney.The Brighter Beginnings Occupational Therapist will be involved in innovative screening, assessment and providing therapy programs and intervention for four-year-old children in early education settings.The Brighter Beginnings Occupational Therapist provides direct clinical services, coordinates service provision, and works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team and supports capacity building for health and education staff.Benefits of working for Western Sydney Local Health District

  • Registration: Must hold general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
Selection Criteria: * Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric occupational therapy services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with families from different psychosocial, socio economic or CALD backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and in partnership with early childhood education staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of evidence-based practice and commitment to professional development.
  • Demonstrated excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of computer-based applications.
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
