Position Summary:As our Senior Accountant / Assistant Client Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of clients while leading and supporting your team. In this role, you will review work, mentor team members, and manage workflow to ensure efficiency and accuracy.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and insights to help clients achieve their business goals and enhance financial performance.
  • Oversee the delivery of accounting, tax, and advisory services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of accountants and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct regular client meetings, review financial statements, and present key findings and recommendations.
  • Stay informed on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends to provide up-to-date, strategic advice.
  • Ensure all client deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Skills:
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting, with a focus on client management and advisory services.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience reviewing and mentoring junior accounting staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
