It’s one of Australia’s largest financial institutions, providing retail, commercial, and institutional banking services across multiple regions, including Asia and the Pacific. The organisation is known for its focus on digital innovation, strong risk governance, and commitment to sustainability in financial services.Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute climate risk assurance reviews, including assessment of systems, data integrity, scenario analysis, and financed emissions.
- Ensure timely delivery of audit engagements within budget, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Align audit activities to internal and external climate risk developments, including emerging regulations.
- Contribute to the annual internal audit plan and resource allocation based on business risk profiles.
- Build strong, constructive relationships with senior stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, and Finance functions.
- Drive understanding of climate-related risks across IA and the wider business.
- Extensive experience in risk management frameworks, operational risk, compliance, and delivery risk.
- Proven track record leading complex audits or risk projects, preferably in technology or financial services.
- Strong understanding of climate risk, regulatory obligations, and banking/finance industry practices.
- Expertise in risk and control analysis across complex business processes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions and drive innovative assurance practices.
