More than 1,400 passionate and dedicated Chisholm employees work together to deliver quality training and education in Melbourne’s south east manufacturing heartland and key residential growth corridor.A Victorian Government-owned TAFE, we aim to lead the way in education and training to inspire success and transform lives.Our purpose is to excel in education and training and be respected and valued for enhancing the social and economic futures of individuals, industry and communities.Our drive for commercial success is underpinned by our core values of Collaboration, Accountability, Integrity and Respect.In the past 20 years, we have grown significantly to become a multi-sector institute, delivering a broad range of education and training programs and services in higher education, vocational education and training (VET) and school sectors across ten campuses in Victoria, online, in the workplace and overseas with partner educational and government organisations.We offer more than 400 courses, from Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)/Victorian Certificate of Education Vocational Major (VCE VM)/Vocational Education and Training Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS), through to nationally accredited qualifications such as certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas, degrees, graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and short courses.ABOUT THE ROLEYou will be accountable for fostering effective stakeholder relationships, leading engagement and communication activities and managing knowledge creation and publication, for the planning, development and execution of communication plans, project communications, crisis and emergency communications protocols and the creation and maintenance of internal and external knowledge artifacts.The position is also accountable for developing and maintaining the division policy framework and ensuring policy relevance and compliance. Through collaboration with Campus Services & Infrastructure, and ITS managers, the role will oversee the development and periodic review of policy and procedures and ensure policies are current, effective, and appropriately supports business objectives.The position requires a high degree of critical thinking, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively influence outcomes, and the capacity to interact with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.Reporting to the Head of Service, Delivery & Planning, the Knowledge and Communication Manager is a key and active member of the service delivery and planning team and provides expertise to Campus Services and Infrastructure (CSI) and Information Technology Services (ITS).Your key accountabilities will be to:
  • Lead the development, publication and ongoing review and update of the division’s knowledge management content and services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement communication protocols and frameworks to ensure communication at all levels is received
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and project teams to develop and distribute training resources and programs that are supported by client and internal processes and knowledge
  • Manage the development and periodic review of Campus Services & Infrastructure, and ITS policies, ensuring policies are current effective, and appropriately support business objectives
  • Review and improve systems and processes used to communicate and access CSIITS services, including Service Now, Web and intranet sites
  • Develop, maintain, and review service communications frameworks, including service catalogues, service request platforms and service performance benchmarks.
