The successful applicant will bring a deep understanding of inclusive education, Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L), Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and trauma-informed practices within a primary setting. They will work in partnership with classroom teachers and key stakeholders to foster learning environments that promote cognitive, emotional, and behavioural engagement for identified students.In this position you will be responsible for: providing holistic support to identified students through:
- Coordinating relevant stakeholders to collaboratively develop and implement student plans that support engagement, wellbeing, and effective teaching practices.
- Developing and implementing personalised support plans for students requiring Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions.
- Modelling and co-teaching evidence-based strategies that support students with complex needs, enhancing their regulation, engagement, and positive learning behaviours.
- Collecting, analysing, and interpreting student data (behaviour, attendance, and engagement) to inform support strategies and track progress.
- Contributing to whole-school implementation of PB4L, MTSS, and inclusive practices.
- Participating in ongoing professional learning to remain current with best practices in student engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing.
- Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the

- Expertise in high-impact, evidence-based teaching strategies that promote academic, social, and emotional growth
- Ability to coach and co-teach with colleagues, providing constructive feedback and fostering shared accountability for student outcomes
- Strong data literacy to inform targeted interventions and support whole-school improvement.
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers
- Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, support staff, parents and other relevant stakeholders
