- Supporting our clients in daily living activities and individual routines.
- Encouraging positive social participation and completing activities of interest with clients (craft, walking, and gardening).
- Completing household duties to maintain a healthy and safe living environment (including weekly menu planning and grocery shopping, meal preparation, laundry, and other cleaning tasks as required).
- Following mealtime management and specialised eating plans as per instructions for individual client requirements.
- Providing medication support and administration of medications.
- Completing case notes, recording information, and reporting any issues/incidents.
- Assisting clients to make appointments and managing clients' daily schedule.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors as required.
- A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human service-related field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness.
- Experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged persons and a positive attitude and towards those who are marginalised and disadvantaged.
- A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity.
- A Valid drivers’ license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property).
- Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes.
- Ability to work on weekends and willingness to do sleepovers as part of the position (a private room is provided for staff with appropriate facilities.
- NDIS Workers Screening or ability to acquire.
- Medication, CPR, and First Aide training will be highly regarded but will also be provided.
- Competitive Casual Rates $43.23 - $47.16 per hour (Including 25% casual loading) (rate dependent on experience).
