  • Based in Burleigh Heads Queensland
As a Sample Preparation Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring all samples are appropriately receipted, sorted, prepared, packed and sent for analysis in a timely manner to achieve operational, customer and quality requirements.This autonomous role will focus on:
  • Receipting samples from walk-ins
  • Checking the PO Box for sample deliveries
  • Ensuring client details and test requirements are correct
  • Drying samples in ovens
  • Grinding of soils & plant samples as required
  • Adequately packing and organising courier pickups using an online portal
  • Ensuring the courier deadlines are met
  • Working in the fast-paced sample receipt and preparation area
  • Ensuring samples are completed in a timely manner and correct methods, procedures and work instructions are adhered to
QualificationsWhat we are looking for in individuals to join our team
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
  • Ability to follow procedures with absolute attention to detail
  • Excellent numeracy, written and oral communication skills
  • Great organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Able to be deadline focused
Experience in a commercial sample preparation laboratory would be advantageous but not a requirement to be successful in this role.Rather, previous experience working in a fast-paced environment (e.g., fast food/hospitality/warehouse) would be highly regarded/beneficial for this role.Apply now!Please include a cover letter outlining:
