This role will also play a key part in driving improvements to accounting systems and processes, enhancing both efficiency and compliance.Reporting directly to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated individual who consistently strives for excellence. Tertiary Accounting Qualification
CA/CPA qualified desirable but not essential
Minimum 5+ years of Management Accounting experience, preferably in Mining Services or Manufacturing
Proficient in the use of Coupa and PRONTO (preferable)
Excellent technical accounting skills and analytical skills
Proven experience in driving process improvements and system enhancements
Ability to interpret, analyse and reconcile financial information
Able to work collaboratively and independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential.
Ability to multitask, prioritise with excellent time management skills.
Professional discretion plus excellent interpersonal skills.

About The Role

Assist the month-end / year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Balance sheet reconciliations
Assist audit coordination for Mining Services with Perenti Corporate Finance Team
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data
Identify process automation and efficiency improvements
Support ERP system enhancements and implementation projects
Assist with monthly reporting pack preparation
Assist with budgeting and forecasting reporting cycles
Work closely with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insights
Maintain the Fixed Assets Register for Accounting and Taxation purposes with respect to additions, disposals, transfers and splits of assets.
