A well-established national manufacturer providing high-quality concrete solutions to the rail and infrastructure sectors.About the RoleAs a Factory Hand, you will play a crucial role in the production process.This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.Your responsibilities will include:
Carry out duties as required producing concrete railway sleepers to meet target production & quality levels.
Carry out work in a correct, competent, safe and efficient manner in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, codes, standards, operation and maintenance manuals, specifications, drawings and site licenses.
Carry out inspection and testing in accordance with approved procedures, and report results.
Ensure immediate corrective action to eliminate or mitigate quality related defects or non-conformance.
Identify machine, system or work method improvements and provide recommendations to crew meetings and the Manager.
Provide on-the-job training in the correct and procedures and practices for other work unit members (new personnel, casual, contractors etc.) as directed by the Leading Hands and/or Supervisor.
Perform basic equipment maintenance, adjustment and repairs in accordance with prescribed procedures.
Assist trade qualified personnel as required.
