Send your responses toServices Australia is seeking to identify suitable Candidates to perform the role of BusinessAnalysts, Systems Analysts and Solution Design Managers up to manager levels to supportthe agency to document business requirements, capture business needs, and design, create,evaluate, and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems.Business Analysts analyse and integrate information provided by customers, staff,Information Technology (IT) professionals, executives, and other internal and externalstakeholders. They are responsible for understanding the core needs and requirements ofstakeholders and the agency. Business Analysts often play a central role in aligning theneeds of business units with the capabilities delivered by IT or business activities and mayserve as a translator between stakeholder groups. Business Analysts exercise a degree ofindependent judgement and make decisions within defined parameters that rely on skills andknowledge.The level of Security Clearance required for a Role will be confirmed at the time of Contract.Job Title Business AnalystAPS Equivalent Level APS5Main Duties Duties may include, but not limited to, some or all of the following:contribute to the creation of action plans, solution reports and business cases for review by senior staffliaise with stakeholders to develop an understanding of their requirements and concerns in line with the agency's business objectivescontribute towards business analysis approaches that may include specifying team roles, deliverables, analysis techniques or stakeholder communicationassist on recommending improvements for consideration by senior staff and provide support on the analysis, verification, and validation of the recommended improvementsprovide support on stakeholder analysis to assist the team engage with stakeholders and effectively understand cross business functionsparticipate and assist facilitation across business units with stakeholders and represent the work area at meetings, conferences, and seminarsdraft business analyst artefacts and documents that may include risk analysis, scope modelling, problem tracking and sequence diagrams for review by senior staffdraft or contribute to change management plans and/or communication plansparticipate and provide support in brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation, or interviews, and confirm or report on resultsdraft and contribute to clear business and stakeholder requirement documentation including prioritising, organising, and verifying the requirementsexamine and organise requirements to record dependencies, relationships and identify logical sequencesreview project documentation and agency processes to assist with determining areas for improvement or changeidentify potential issues or risks, track problems and escalate as appropriateassist with requirements management plan and its implementationcontribute to performance reporting activities and/or variance analysisassist with preparing textual statements, matrices, diagrams, and formal models to contribute to the analysis of requirementsMain skills/attributes Ability to:communicate confidently and present messages in a clear, concise, and articulate mannerresearch, analyse, apply creativity and problem solvesupport and maintain stakeholder relationshipscollaborate with other staff in immediate work area and in other areas of the agencynegotiate with others to achieve optimal outcomesinvestigate and respond to identified issues and escalate as neededdemonstrate system thinking and a cognitive viewmake decisions within defined parametersmanage time and organise work against competing prioritiesEvery application requires to address selection criteria as part of application submission.Please complete the below forms.
