Comprehensive mental health, community health and dental services are delivered through various programs across the Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac.About the roleThe role of the Obstetrician Gynaecologist is to provide general obstetrics and gynaecology services to the hospital and provide support to the Director of Obstetrics & GynaecologyProvide inpatient and outpatient obstetrics and gynaecology services for women including:
  • Pregnancy care clinic
  • Gynaecology Outpatient Clinic
  • Gynaecology operating list
  • Consultant on call for weekends and weeknights as per roster. To be available within 15 minutes.
  • Ensure that women admitted to your care are treated with care, compassion, dignity and respect at all times and without compromise.
  • Ensure that women admitted to your care are appropriately and as fully informed as possible of their medical condition and the planned treatment they will receive and, in particular, given adequate information to allow the women to make informed decisions regarding treatment choices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to give consistent care
  • Participate in the obstetrics and gynaecology after-hours receiving roster.
  • Ensure that clinical care is provided to the expected standard Department of Health standards
  • Work within Barwon Health Guidelines
  • Work with rural partners
