TBM Mechanical Supervisor - contract basisThe TBM Supervisor - Demobilisation is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient dismantling and removal of a Tunnel Boring Machine. This includes coordinating crews and subcontractors, managing logistics, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and working closely with engineering and project teams. The role requires strong knowledge of TBM systems, experience in high-risk construction activities, and proven leadership skills. Relevant qualifications such as a White Card, Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets are essential, with mechanical or civil construction background preferred.Key Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate the demobilisation of the TBM, including dismantling, removal, and transport of equipment.Manage and supervise on-site crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the demobilisation process.Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and procurement teams to plan demobilisation activities efficiently.Maintain accurate documentation of dismantling procedures, equipment condition, and asset tracking.Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.Identify and mitigate risks associated with heavy lifting, confined space work, and environmental impact.Participate in daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and company procedures and reporting requirements.Monitor progress against the demobilisation schedule and address any delays or issues proactively.Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Supervisor on TBM projects, with a focus on demobilisation or mechanical systems.Strong understanding of TBM systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic) and tunnelling operations.Experience in managing high-risk activities including heavy lifts, confined space work, and decommissioning.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors in a dynamic environment.Solid knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in tunnelling and construction.Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in high-pressure environments and meet tight deadlines.APPLY NOW - or call 0426883921
