- Be the first point of contact for security advice and incident response.
- Develop and maintain Security Policies & Plans (SPP).
- Conduct regular threat and risk assessments to assess suitability of security posture in specific area to confirm or evolve required security standards to ensure they are embedded in DI business operations.
- Conduct regular security audits to ensure business activities remain within required accreditation or regulatory standards to ensure their adherence remains embedded within DI business operations.
- Where required, conduct direct engagement with external accreditation and regulatory bodies on specific matters directly relating to operational security activities, demonstrating evidence to these bodies of DI’s business operations compliance.
- Conduct investigations and incident responses in critical circumstances to maintain protection of DI’s business operations and staff.
- Provide specific details of key security content pertaining to their area where required to feed Security Managers’ liaison with External and Internal Comms relating to investigations or incidents to protect DI’s staff and external reputation.
- Conduct effective, consistent and comprehensive operational security activities within Digital Intelligence in Australia to ensure optimum security performance.
- Establish effective procedures to achieve security outcomes that are consistent with the Australian Government policies and legal requirements.
- Fostering a positive security culture where personnel understand their responsibilities to manage security risk.
- Ensure information and security awareness training programs are in place so personnel (including personnel and contractors located or travelling overseas) understand their security obligations
- Establish security performance measures to ensure the required protections are achieved.
- Disseminate and manage intelligence and threat information to stakeholders across the entity.
- Manage Australian Defence Industry Security Program requirements including reporting and security clearances.
- Directly manage access control, security keys and the security of information in the Canberra facility.
- Travel to Australian sites to review security controls, conduct staff training and to provide security related presentations as required.
- Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance (Essential).
- Defence Security Officer Course, Defence Security Risk Management Course (desired).
- Knowledge of incident management, investigations and crises management principles.
- Knowledge of security risk management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Strong experience in all Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Demonstrate experience in Defence security or security processes and procedures.
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and or external stakeholders.
- Self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under own initiative to deliver outputs.
- Opening and closing of the site and secure areas.
- Managing and escorting visitors.
- Manage clearance portal for the organisation.
- Supporting business with local and international visitor requests.
- Assist with day-to-day site operations.
