Manage the accounting function for the Cattle Breeding and Backgrounding, Horticultural and Management Services businesses. This includes maintenance of accounting ledgers, internal financial reporting and analysis
Assist in developing and implementing financial business process improvements
Perform weekly and monthly analysis providing an understanding of financial data including weekly sales, profit and operations analysis, cattle performance reporting and station cost analysis
Prepare payment claims for external customers of Harvest Road Management Services
Assist with preparation of group Budgets and Forecasts
Compilation of monthly financial reports
Assistance with the compilation of other financial and operational information in response to ad hoc requests from the business
Assist with management of the banking function including maintenance of up-to-date bank reconciliations and credit cards
Cash flow management and forecasting
Assistance in identifying potential areas for cost reduction and improvement in business performance and profitability
Assistance with preparation for annual audit process and responding to audit requests
Compile and analyse financial information to assist the preparation of financial statements
Assist with other finance duties and projects as required.
Skills and Experience: Qualifications:
CA or CPA qualified
Minimum 4 years of combined experience in public practice and commercial roles Essential:
High level of verbal and written communication
Proven ability to work constructively within high-performing teams
Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills with a desire for identifying efficiencies
Providing business analysis and visibility for operational teams
Experience in preparing detailed reports on a timely basis.

Proven Computer skills including Microsoft Office, in particular a high level of proficiency in MS Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Effective time management, task prioritisation and organisational skills
An understanding and appreciation for delivering internal and external customer service.
Desired:
Experience in agricultural industry would be advantageous
Comfortable with Microsoft Navision/Business Central
Power BI competency
