The Planning and Construction team is responsible for overseeing all property-related processes, ensuring the strategic acquisition of land in alignment with the new school development plan, and maintaining existing schools to the highest standards. The team manages the planning, design, and development of new schools and building projects while also coordinating maintenance activities, funding applications, and approval processes. - Coordinate the collection and analysis of demographic, enrolment, and facilities data to support planning initiatives.
- Research and monitor trends in enrolment and facility utilisation to inform future school planning.
- Analyse data from internal and external systems to generate projections and recommendations.
- Support senior staff with written reports for school projects, expansions, and land acquisitions.
- Respond to technical, administrative, and operational enquiries with informed solutions.
- Provide advice to stakeholders and assist team members with demographic and enrolment analysis.
- Develop geospatial datasets using the ESRI platform and link them with internal databases.
- Update and maintain BCE's geospatial databases using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
- Contribute to the development of a beneficial ownership register for BCE-owned properties.
- Providing administrative support to senior staff members.
- Experience or strong interest in demographic/property research and data analysis.
- Proficiency in geospatial tools such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
- Providing accurate documentation with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare clear, insightful reports.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
- Providing information to a range of internal and external stakeholders in response to direct queries.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or current study in Social Sciences, Urban/Town Planning, Geospatial Analytics, Property Economics, or a related field.
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
