As the permanent Quality Assurance Automation Engineer you will be responsible for analysing the functionality of applications and designing automated tests that are fit for purpose. You will also be required to identify defects, drive automation efficiencies and collaborate with the software engineering team. As the QA Automation Engineer, you will need to have solid programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong stakeholder and communication skills. You will be solutions focused and enjoy playing a key role in the smooth running of an established software engineering team which currently has two other QA’s on board.Your day-to-day responsibilities…
  • Complete product testing and record test results
  • Writing and executing test scripts to detect defects and anomalies
  • Creating issue reports for defects that are discovered during testing
  • Analysing issues to determine the outcome
  • Developing and extending QA automation suite
  • Liaising with developers on requirements and issues
  • Participating in all phases of testing
  • Driving ideas for automated software test procedures.
  • Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
  • Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.
  • Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.
Your background and attributes…
  • Previous experience working as a QA / Test Automation Engineer.
  • Solid programming skills including automation systems and databases
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for all thing Testing and Quality
  • Good broad technical knowledge and mindset
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good leadership and knowledge sharing skills with the desire to mentor others
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as a part of a small team
  • A desire to step into a Test Lead role once up and running
