
Maintenance Parts Room Clerk

- Tracks physical inventory of product, allocates inventory and maintains accurate records to ensure quality, shelf life and tracking of product.
- Actively involved in the company safety program and the long term and short term goals of the department
- Accurately control and track physical inventory of product
- Maintain work area clean and in order
- Allocate inventory against orders
- Schedule orders
- Maintain status of orders through entire process
- Participate in inventory process and daily audits; research and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of quantity, type, and value of stock
- Maintain inventory database
- Prepare all required reports and correspondence; perform required administrative tasks
- Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety
- Management related matters
- High School or equivalent
- 2 - 4 years experience
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience as a forklift and/or pallet jack driver
- High understanding of products and production flow from order entry through shipping
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
- Acute attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Must be able to utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard
- Accurately complete detailed forms and reports
- Calculate figures and amounts
- Position is active
- On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine
- May need to move equipment occasionally
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lb. boxes and materials
- May need to access files, supplies, and equipment
- Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required of the job as directed by company
- When in a plant environment:
- Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
- Exposure to temperatures (28 - 100 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Humidity (0-100%)
- May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
- Noise (50db. - 110db.)
- May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility
