- Monitor, triage, and manage Service Desk issues, including applications, peripherals, and devices.
- Coordinate and ensure quality of services by external partners.
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, system monitoring, performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
- Provide guidance on best practices for application and hardware use.
- Offer 3rd level support, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to third parties as needed.
- Maintain system documentation and manage licenses and hardware maintenance.
- Ensure timely application of updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Manage backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and ensure system security.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software environments.
- Support cloud services, manage server systems in Azure and AWS.
- Manage system changes, perform performance reporting, and contribute to disaster recovery and system standards.
- Implement security controls, manage vulnerabilities, and ensure application security.
- Project manage system upgrades/implementations and contribute to technology improvement projects.
- Manage identity and access, ensure compliance with security policies, and maintain organizational phone and server systems security.
- Supervise third-party support and mentor Service Desk team members.
- Lead projects for service and infrastructure improvements and integrations.
- Support technology services team, develop new responsibilities based on professional development goals.
- Proven experience in systems engineering, including hardware and software maintenance, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services (Azure, AWS) including provisioning, configuration, and optimization.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing.
- Familiarity with security protocols, vulnerability management, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to provide high-level support and guidance on application and hardware best practices.
- Experience with system documentation maintenance and license management.
- Skilled in project management, particularly in systems upgrades and technology improvement projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to triage and manage Service Desk issues efficiently.
- Experience in identity and access management, ensuring secure and compliant access control.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor and lead teams.
