As an Assurance Manager, you will be developing frameworks for monitoring distributor processes, systems, and outputs to ensure quality, compliance, and risk standards of the partnership are met and continuously improved.This is a 12-month opportunity.What will you be doing?
  • Assessing and reviewing the assurance and validation of services and deliverables to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, program expectations, industry standards, and transition deliverables.
  • Identifying and addressing training needs, taking corrective action to uphold compliance with company and legislative standards (e.g. APRA, OH&S), while promoting awareness of policies, procedures, and standards across Insurance and co-ordinating training responses.
  • Monitoring and ensuring all APRA and other standards requirements are met by Insurance suppliers and partners, including reporting, escalating, and driving remedial actions for any material control weaknesses, incidents, or breaches under the Risk & Compliance Management frameworks.
  • Developing and overseeing quality assurance controls, performance monitoring programs, reporting, and testing the effectiveness of contracts, SLAs, and key controls, in collaboration with RAC Group service providers.
  • Advising management and stakeholders on service issues, legislative requirements, best practices, and emerging technologies, supporting informed decision-making and adoption of improvements.
  • Co-ordinating and managing timely responses to audit actions, reviews, and updates of core contracts and service agreements in consultation with the Strategic Transition team.
  • Contributing and assisting with broader Strategic Transition program activities, including the planning of Insurance IT & People strategy, strategic partnership evaluations, and other duties as required.
What are we looking for in you?
  • Tertiary qualification in Business or IT Management is required, with additional accreditation in project management or change management considered desirable.
  • Formal certification in Information Security, IT, Risk Management, or Audit is mandatory, with certifications such as CISA or CISM from the Information Systems Control Association highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience across the full contract management lifecycle, including service provision assurance management, contractual performance assessment, and SLA/contract negotiation.
  • Proven expertise in vendor and service provider management, coupled with demonstrated experience in audit and controls assurance within complex environments.
  • Industry knowledge gained from working within Insurance or Financial Services, with a strong understanding of APRA standards, guidelines, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced technical and professional skills, including project support, organisation, consulting, negotiation, facilitation, and analytical problem-solving, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and influencing capability, with highly developed verbal, written, and reporting skills to engage stakeholders and support effective decision-making.
