Vacancy Reference No. 676572This is a Permanent Full Time position.Position Profile:We are seeking a contemporary leader to join the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) as Director, Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategic and operational management of financial services across CAHS, one of WA’s most vital health services, in alignment with CAHS’s strategic priorities and State Government policies.As the Director, Finance, you will provide strategic leadership, and work in close partnership with CAHS Directorates and the Department of Health, to drive and enable CAHS financial sustainability and performance. You will apply proven operational leadership skills to balance data-driven decision-making and governance requirements with supporting the organisation to meet evolving service needs.You will lead a capable and committed team and have oversight of accounting policy, legislative compliance, budgeting and reporting cycles, and major reform initiatives. In addition, you will play a key role in month-end close, and preparation of annual financial statements, ensuring integrity across the general ledger and reporting systems.Your ability to engage with corporate services, clinical, and executive teams across CAHS to solve complex problems across business and financial domains will be key to success in this role.Key Responsibilities
Manage the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports, including oversight of both cash and accrual ledgers.
Maintain oversight of capital project accounting and private patient revenue.
Build and sustain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including the Department of Health, Office of Auditor General, Health Support Services, and other Health Service Providers.
Contribute to the statewide budget process and broader health system funding discussions.
Lead engagement with external and internal audit bodies, and support the development of financial policies and procedures.
Champion a high-performance culture through staff development, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
Foster a culture of professional excellence and collaboration across CAHS's multidisciplinary teams.
