- These roles are Permanent Part-time, 40 or 50hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for these roles are Sales Co-worker or Activity Co-worker.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 9:00am to 10:00pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
- You are required to have full-day availability on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to be considered for a position.
- If your application is successful, you may be invited to complete a video interview as part of the recruitment process.
- If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend an in-person Group Assessment Centre interview with the hiring team on Tuesday 30 April 2024.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction Monday 13 May and Tuesday 14 May 9:00am-5:00pm.
- If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 13 May 2024.
- Engaging and assist customers in understanding their needs and providing your knowledge on IKEA products and services to support their purchasing decisions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Being an expert and passionate about the IKEA product range; and actively learning about their features and benefits.
- Replenishing stock levels throughout your shift and ensuring your area of responsibility is always well-stocked, correctly priced, and presentable.
- Supporting other Sales areas and within the business when required.
- Using inventory systems to ensure stock inventory is correct and up to date.
- Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products and recycling of cardboard.
- Working closely with the Logistics team to ensure the Self Serve warehouse is always well-stocked, tidy and presentable.
- Supporting customer enquiries and directing them to the appropriate department or location.
- Working closely with the Sales and wider Commercial Team to ensure all price tags are displayed correctly and visibly especially during campaigns and promotions.
- Condensing stock, including unloading pallets and cutting boxes open to restock appropriate products.
- Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range with customers.
- Proficient computer skills and an ability to learn about all technical aspects of the IKEA range.
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks and are comfortable with on-the-job physical activity.
- A customer-focused mindset and always strive to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
- A safety mindset and being comfortable with physical work and manual handling including repetitive lifting.
