  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Computer and keyboard skills
  • Typing and Word processing skills
  • High level of organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to assess and prioritise workload within an environment of competing demands
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, relatives and staff
  • Good written and oral communication skills including the ability to enter data when required in a timely manner
  • Valid Police Check
  • Current Working with Children’s Check
  • Healthcare to whom the mandatory vaccination (influenza vaccination) directions apply, will be required to be vaccinated annually
DESIRABLE:
  • Ability to use hospital-based software
  • Willingness to seek advice from peers
  • Ability to use the phone system, photocopier and fax machines
  • Available for all shifts; am pm night shift and public holidays
  • Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality
